Seeing is Believing

"Flip Video Spotlight helps charitable organizations use video to make the world a better place.”

I’ve blogged about the importance of getting your non profit’s story out to the public to increase awareness for your cause, build your volunteer base, and/or aid in your fundraising efforts. Curtsey of Flip Video Spotlight, now it’s easier to tell your story. Now you can do it for $150. Flip Video is committed to distributing one million camcorders to nonprofits by 2012.
What better way to drive traffic to your website then to post a short video each month by highlighting what ways your organization or members have done to help your cause. Once a new video is posted be sure to promote your video through Twitter and email invitations.

  • Enlist the help from your staff members to brainstorms ideas for videos. Or even simpler, hand them the camera and let them run with it.
  • Interview members at your next meeting or convention
  • Hold a contest for one of your members to win the chance to become the next roving report at your next function or post a video blog to inspire others to join your organization.
  • Invite the people that you’ve helped to tell their success story.

The possibilities are endless. If you do run into a creative block just ask teenager you know for ideas, this is their forte.
